R&A Women in Golf

R&A Women in Golf Charter

Eastlake Golf Club is pleased to report that it has recently become a signatory of the Royal & Ancient's Women in Golf Charter.

Being one of Sydney's few gender-neutral memberships, the Club already met many of the criteria of becoming a signatory and will work with Golf Australia, the PGA and the WPGA to foster an inclusive culture that encourages greater female participation in the sport.

Club initiatives like gender neutral competitions, the current junior program and weekend women's clinics run by our PGA staff are examples of the strategies being employed by the Club that will grow the female game and hopefully lead to new members joining the Club in the future.

This commitment by Eastlake Golf Club to improve the sport for woman and girls, will also help the Club realize its strategic objectives set forth in the Club's Strategic Plan.

Cart Path Progress

Members will be pleased to see the progress being made on the new cart paths this week on the 16th hole. As the pictures show, these new paths compliment the hole well, whilst improving the surrounding playing surfaces and enjoyment of members and guests who frequently use carts.

It is expected that the work on holes 15, 16 and 17 will be finished next week, after which work will commence on the paths on hole 13. Temporary course changes whilst this work takes place will be communicated in due course and we appreciate member's patience whilst this work takes place.
