Capital Works UpdateMembers are advised on the progress of the following Capital Work Projects under consideration or recently approved by the Board: - Clubhouse Roof: Following heavy storms earlier this year, it became evident that there were several leaks in the Clubhouse roof. Recent inspection has revealed that the roof is in need of repair or possibly replacement and management is compiling quotes for consideration by the Board. - Solar Installation: Members will no doubt be aware of the significant increase in electricity prices over the past twelve months. With prices predicted to increase further and with an eye to the Club's Strategic goal of sustainability, the Board recently made the decision to invest in solar for the Clubhouse, Pro Shop and Kitchen. It is expected that the installation of these panels will commence within the next few months, with the Club to benefit from electricity savings in the future. - Car Park: Following the removal of the Coral Tree during the recent course renovations, the Club has sourced several quotes for the repair of this area of the car park along with several other spots in need of patching up. The Club is currently working with these asphalt suppliers to coordinate a suitable period for them to come in and repair the damaged areas. - Cart Paths: With the cart paths now complete from the 15th green to the 17th tee and the 3rd green to the 4th tee, our focus now turns to the cart paths of the 13th hole. A turning circle and path will be installed beside the 13th tee and the existing gravel path to the left and behind the 13th green will be concreted in the same manner as our new pathways. A date for the commencement of this work is currently being locked in and members will be updated with any course changes as a result of this work. |
