Charity Day

Breast Cancer Charity Day

The Club welcomed a capacity field of 132 players for this year's Breast Cancer Research Charity Day, with very strong winds and cold temperatures proving a challenge for all involved. Despite the challenging conditions and the recently renovated greens, there were some teams who handled the conditions well, with the winners on the day being as follows:

1st: Matthew Zee, Brandon Zee, Harry Zee & Roger Spiteri - 55.75
2nd: Sean MacMahon, Colin O'Mahony, Colm Carmody & Paul Maguire - 56.25
3rd: Brett Annesley, Lindy Schwaiger, Aleks Velkovski & Matt Goold - 57.25 cb

Following golf, players enjoyed a delicious buffet lunch in the Clubhouse whilst the raffle and silent auction were held, raising money for a very important cause. Thank you to all those who participated in the day and to our generous sponsors who contributed prizes for the cause.

Cored Greens

Course Renovations

We are pleased to update members on the progress of the course renovations. The newly renovated greens have received their first cut and are coming along beautifully, ensuring they will be in excellent shape for play in the coming weeks.

Additionally, all fairways have now been scarified, which helps remove thatch and promote healthier growth. Next week the fairways will undergo coring, a process designed to relieve soil compaction and enhance water and nutrient absorption.

These renovation practices are essential for ensuring the long-term health of the course, with players permitted a 30cm preferred lie through the green whilst the recovery process takes place.

Red Belly Black Snake

Snake Sightings

We would like to remind all members to stay vigilant while out on the course due to recent snake sightings. As the weather warms up, snakes become more active, particularly in grassy and bushy areas around the course. For your safety, we recommend staying on marked paths and keeping an eye out in areas near water or dense vegetation. Your awareness is key to ensuring a safe and enjoyable round of golf.

Upcoming Social Group Bookings

As we move into the summer season, members may notice an increase in social groups using the course. These groups play an important role in helping to keep membership fees lower by generating additional revenue for the Club. We appreciate your understanding and patience during these busier periods, as their participation supports the continued maintenance and improvement of our facilities.

Solar Panel Installation

The Board is excited to announce the completion of the Club's new solar panel system, which not only looks fantastic, as seen in the photos, but also marks a major step forward in our sustainability efforts. This 100kW system is projected to provide substantial savings over its lifetime while supporting the environment and aligning perfectly with the Club’s long-term sustainability goals.
