MEMBER'S CHRISTMAS NEWSLETTER

Merry Christmas

Merry Christmas

As the year comes to a close, the Board and Staff of Eastlake Golf Club would like to take a moment to thank you for your friendship and support throughout the year. Your enthusiasm for the game, and commitment to our club makes Eastlake such a special place.

This year has been filled with great achievements, memorable events, and plenty of laughs along the way. Whether you've been perfecting your swing, cheering on your fellow members, or simply enjoying the beauty of our course, you've contributed to what makes Eastlake so much more than just a golf club.

As we head into the festive season, we hope you'll take the time to relax, celebrate with loved ones, and enjoy everything the holiday period has to offer. Of course, we'd love to see you out on the course making the most of the summer sun (and working off all that Christmas ham and pudding).

Wishing you a Merry Christmas, a safe New Year, and plenty of pars and birdies in 2025!

Warm Regards,
The Board and Staff of
Eastlake Golf Club

Ladies Christmas Open Day

Last Thursday the Club played host to 68 ladies from over a dozen Sydney metropolitan Clubs for the inaugural Ladies Christmas Open Day.

The format of the day was a team stableford with the best two of four scores to count, with a team from The Coast claiming victory with a score of 92 points. The Eastlake team of Lyndy Saville, Ann Paterson, Rosa Hyon and Margaret McGuiness (Bonnie Doon) finished second on 90 pts, with Club life member Phillipa Downey on hand to present the winners with their trophies and prizes.

After golf the competitors enjoyed a delicious two course Christmas lunch in the Clubhouse, marking the start of the festive season. All in attendance were very complimentary about the condition of the course and the service provided, which bodes well for next year's event.

Safety Reminder - Avoid Hitting Up

We kindly remind all members to prioritize safety on the course by avoiding hitting up on the groups in front. Striking a ball before the group ahead is out of range poses a serious risk of injury and could lead to legal consequences in the event of an incident.

While we understand the desire to maintain a good pace of play, we urge all players to exercise patience this holiday season and ensure the fairway ahead is clear before taking their shot.

Match Play Championships

A reminder to members that the due date for completion of round 1 matches is fast approaching, with players having until December 31st to complete their first-round matches.

We wish all players luck as they attempt to progress through the knockout rounds and look forward to seeing who will be crowned the winners. The draw for these match play(s) can be found below:
