Last week saw several of our staff members complete their CPR refresher training and it is a timely reminder to members of the significant investment Eastlake Golf Club has made in ensuring the safety and well-being of everyone on the course and in the Club.
In addition to having first aid kits in each department, the Club has equipped the premises with two defibrillators - one located in the Clubhouse and another at the Halfway House (Code 1932). These defibrillators are critical pieces of equipment that are available should an emergency arise.
To further enhance safety, the Club has ensured that a large number of staff members have undergone comprehensive training, including First Aid, Armed Hold Up, and Fire Warden training. In addition, the Club has invested in a Critical Incident Response Action Plan, which is now placed in the first aid kits across the property. This action plan provides clear instructions for First Aid responders, including:
- The nearest point of access for emergency response personnel
- Directions for DRSABCD (Dangers, Response, Send for Help, Airway, Breathing, CPR, Defibrillation)
- The Chain of Survival
- Instructions for responding to common injuries, including strains, sprains, snake bites, and anaphylaxis
Members are encouraged to familiarize themselves with the course map (below) to better assist in case of an emergency. Knowing where the nearest access points are for emergency services and understanding the procedures can make all the difference in responding quickly and effectively.
Your safety is our priority, and we continue to invest in the infrastructure, training, and resources needed to provide the best possible environment for everyone at Eastlake Golf Club.
